Vita – Robert Hafner

I am an Associate Professor of Human-Environment Geography at the University of Innsbruck, co-founder of geoLIT GmbH – a spin-off company of the University of Innsbruck – and Chair of the Ethics Review Board at Eurac Research (Bolzano/Bozen). My work focuses on social-ecological transformation, energy, food and water transitions, and transdisciplinary collaboration in Alpine and international contexts (particularly in Latin America and Indonesia).

  • Associate Professor with focus on human-technology-environment research, Department of Geography, University of Innsbruck.
  • Co-founder of geoLIT GmbH – Geographical Lab for Innovation and Transformation – spin-off company of the University of Innsbruck focusing on human-environment research, spatial analysis and transformative projects.
  • Chair of the Ethics Review Board at Eurac Research (Bolzano/Bozen).

Entrepreneurship and spin-offs

As co-founder of geoLIT GmbH – a geographical laboratory for innovation and transformation and spin-off of the University of Innsbruck – I develop applied research, consulting and collaborative projects at the interface of human-environment relations, spatial analysis and governance innovation.
